Subscribing for the TRUexchange GSN free trial

  1. On the TRUexchange login page, click the Subscribe Now for Free Trial link.
    A registration form is displayed.
  2. In the Subscribe section of the registration form, provide the company details, administrator details, and click Next. As the first user registered for your company, you become its administrator.
Company Name and Username must be unique values that are not previously registered in TRUexchange.

On completion of this step, you receive a verification code through your registered email address.

  3. In the Verification section of the registration form, enter the verification code and click Next.
  4. In the Community section of the registration form, provide the TRUexchange GSN community details.
    1. Enter the community name and description.
The Community Name must be a unique value that is not previously registered in TRUexchange. Consider a community name which will uniquely identify your community to be related to your business and file exchange. For example, for ACME Inc., community names such as ACME-FX or ACME-DX would work, if they have not already been registered.
    2. Choose the file encryption security level which is best for the files you will be exchanging from the following options:
      • Person to Person encryption - User Keys are stored on each User's Machine: When you log in to TRUexchange for the first time, you are prompted to generate a unique encryption key, which is stored on your local computer. Every user has a unique encryption key and files are encrypted with this key.
      • Community Key encryption - Central Key Management (no User Keys are used): A key is generated for the community. Files are encrypted with the community key managed by TRUexchange.
    3. Choose one or more of the following sender-receiver relationships:
      • Your Company Users to each other: Files can be exchanged only within your company.
      • Your Company Users to External Partner Users: Your company users can send files to partner company users.
      • External Partner Users to Your Company Users: Partner company users can send files to your company users.
      • External Partner Users to External Partner Users: Partner users can send files to other users within their company.
    4. Next, select if you want to set up transaction metadata. For each of the send/receive relationships that you chose, you can specify whether the sender should fill out additional information about the purpose why files are being sent to help the recipients with their next actions. For example, you could specify that for any file being exchanged with a partner user, the sender must provide a project reference and a purpose for the file exchange.
      • If you choose not to set up transaction metadata, click Submit to complete the registration.
      • To set up transaction metadata, specify the additional information that users must provide when they exchange files.
    5. Accept the terms and conditions for restricted user license agreement and then click Submit to complete the registration.
You get an email with instructions on how to log on to TRUexchange and use the free trial.
